As promised by the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Team, the latest regular hotfix rollup was released!  There are hotfix updates for the CRM Server, as well as resolving some performance issues with the CRM Outlook Client.  Check out the links below.

As per all Update Rollup versions, there are issues when trying to import customization XML files with different Update Rollup versions.  In this case, Rollup v3 is incompatible with v1.  It always pays to check the KB Article page for the details.

As reported previously, the Dynamics CRM Team Blog commented on an Update Rollup schedule:

The CRM SE team is planning to release Update Rollups on 8-week cycles; therefore, Update Rollup 3 is scheduled for mid-March. While quality is the focus of every release, we are also trying to be predictable in our release schedule so that our customers can schedule deployments of our Update Rollups with confidence. In November, when we released Update Rollup 1, we set the date of Update Rollup 2 to January 15^th and we met this timeframe. We will do our best to establish a release rhythm that our customers can come to depend on.
