Bjorn,

In that case, it's better to push the updates out to your users instead. Check the Implementation Guide, or to summarize this post:

1. Use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM Update feature that is described in the CRM Implementation Guide. Note that users will have to be members of the Local Administrators group for this method to work.
2. Use the Microsoft systems management product, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), (formerly Systems Management Server (SMS)) or similar third-party product.
3. Use Group Policy to deploy updates. Group Policy is a feature of Active Directory and is reasonably straightforward to setup. The advantage of using Group Policy is that users do not need to be members of the Local Administrator Group.

Hi,

Is there also a way to check the versions of the connected clients? So that I do not have to go and manually check each client?

Best Regards,
Björn

Mike,

Unfortunately I don't know a solution off the bat regarding the Untrusted Update error. Did you make sure to update both the server AND the Outlook Client for these users? Are they logging in remotely, or on the office LAN? Please see the below link for some possible clues:

Our CRM environment has Rollup 16 installed from the build number

However, some of our users are still receiving a pop up to install CRM 4.0 Rollup 16 updates even though it is already installed. When they click to update they receive and error saying "Untrusted Update" and that is as far as they get. Any recommendations for a fix, or how to stop this box from popping up?

Thanks
