Support for Dynamics CRM and SQL Server 2008 (KB 957053)

In case you hadn’t heard, SQL Server 2008 is supported for Dynamics CRM 4.0. This latest version offers a variety of new features and tools that is sure to make database administrators happy.
The official word on its compatibility with Dynamics CRM:
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 is compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2008.
- The Microsoft Dynamics CRM client for Microsoft Office Outlook with Offline Access is compatible with SQL Server 2008 Express Edition.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM Data Migration Manager is compatible with SQL Server 2008.
- Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 and the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 client for Microsoft Office Outlook are incompatible with SQL Server 2008.
Now, when it comes to software installation time, it’s nice to know in advance what issues may come up. In this case, you must update the installation files during setup to install Hotfixes #952601, 952602, and 947278.
